Brittany Salad

This salad recipe was given to my mom in the early 80′s. That explains why it is incredibly unhealthy. But, anything that can be called a salad and makes use of lettuce at least lets you feel like you are eating light, so stuff your face and try forget about what’s in the dressing.

I have modified this recipe to serve 2 people.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 3 green onions, diced
  • 1/4 lb. of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 4 oz. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. bacon grease (don’t freak out)
  • 1 T. sugar

Directions

Mix all ingredients except for the lettuce and green onions together in a bowl. Chill for 30 minutes. Pour dressing over lettuce and green onions and serve!
